Our client is an E-Commerce company seeking a skilled Software Engineer to join their team and help improve their platform’s backend. The successful candidate will have at least three years of relevant professional experience, strong competencies in software design, and proficiency in Java and SpringBoot. They should also possess a good understanding of relational databases and basic knowledge of cloud platforms, such as AWS.

Responsibilities:

Requirements:

• 3+ years of relevant professional experience
• Strong competencies in software design 
• Good Java skills
• Hands-on experience with SpringBoot
• Strong knowledge of relational databases
• Basic knowledge of AWS or similar cloud platforms

• High learning ability and natural curiosity
• Fluent communication skills in English (speaking, reading, and writing) Interest in second-hand marketplaces

The backend team currently consists of four software engineers, and the successful candidate will join them in expanding and maintaining the backend. All three front-ends communicate with the backend using a Java SpringBoot REST API. The backend is hosted on AWS with key components being EC2, Elastic Beanstalk, Aurora (MySQL), and ElasticSearch. Versioning control is managed through GitHub, and Github Actions are used for continuous integration.

This position is open to remote work from anywhere in Denmark, as long as the candidate can come to the office in central Copenhagen one to three times per week on average.
