The Team:

As a new member of their cross-functional feature teams, you will be responsible for creating features and content for their game. They look at competing games to inform their decision-making process, choosing to either improve upon existing mechanics or innovate entirely new concepts. Key factors they consider when developing features and content include player choice, retention, quality of life, accessibility, and customization options (including mod support).

Desired Skills and Knowledge:

  • At least 5 years of relevant experience
  • Experience in PC and/or console game development
  • Strong C++ skills
  • Experience with multiplayer game development is a plus
  • Experience working with Unreal Engine
  • Several shipped games in your portfolio
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills

 

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with other developers to create new game features
  • Refactor existing game features
  • Assist with technical design and planning
  • Help enforce project code standards
  • Fix bugs and optimize performance
  • Mentor other developers
