Job Title: Senior Blockchain Engineer – Remote 

Base Salary: 220’000 USD
Total Compensation: 500’000 USD 

Our client is seeking an experienced distributed systems software developer to join their team.

The ideal candidate will possess a C, C++, or Rust development background and have 6+ years of experience in the following technologies:

Experience:

• Public blockchains
• Consensus protocols
• Large scale distributed systems
• Applied cryptography
• Compilers or other equivalent technology

Key responsibilities:

• Improving miner implementation to increase efficiency of the blockchain.
• Optimizing the storage layer of the blockchain.
• Research and development for enabling Clarity smart contracts writing to Bitcoin.

Qualifications:

• Experience with programming language interpreters, compilers, and static analysis.
• Working knowledge of complexities of peer-to-peer systems.
• Experience working on large, complex, distributed systems such as a distributed database, cluster controllers, etc.
• Experience with monitoring and testing practices.

Additional Qualifications:

• Experience working on or contributing to open source projects.
• Experience working on a distributed team.
• Ability to collaborate with open source developers.
• Strong communication skills.
