Our client, a fast-growing Crypto Scale-Up focused on building innovative solutions for the decentralized finance industry, is seeking a highly skilled Head of Engineering to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a team of world-class engineers and driving the development of complex back-end systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the development of large-scale distributed systems and databases using cutting-edge technologies such as Rust, C++, and cryptography, ensuring they are scalable, performant, and secure.
• Provide technical knowledge and guidance to your team, fostering a culture of continuous learning and growth.
• Collaborate closely with stakeholders across the organization to understand their needs and prioritize engineering projects accordingly.
• Manage the full engineering lifecycle, from ideation to deployment, ensuring that projects are delivered on time and on budget.

• Be hands-on in code reviews, architecture discussions, and technical decision making.

Requirements:

• 10+ years of experience in software engineering, with a focus on large-scale distributed systems and databases using technologies such as Rust, C++, and cryptography.
• Experience leading engineering teams in start-ups and scale-ups, with a track record of delivering complex projects on time and on budget.
• Deep technical expertise in a wide range of technologies, including cloud-based infrastructure, distributed systems, and databases.
• Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
