You will be joining a diverse team of four full-stack developers and one frontend developer, all of whom have substantial expertise and are eager to collaborate with you.

As our client’s new backend developer, you will be in charge of designing, developing, and maintaining the backend systems of their applications. You will work closely with the team to ensure seamless integration between the frontend and backend components.

About you:

You possess a solid background as a backend developer. It comes naturally to you to think beyond the “usual” and challenge the status quo in new ways. You adhere to the principles of writing clean code while also empathizing with their users’ needs, in both thought and action.

Your Responsibilities:

• Develop robust and maintainable backend solutions using GoLang.
• As part of a cross-functional, collaborative team, you will participate in the entire application lifecycle, from architecture to development, testing, and review.
• Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members, including coaching and mentoring junior developers.
• Troubleshoot and debug issues in backend systems.
• Continuously improve the performance and scalability of backend systems.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in backend technologies and programming languages.

Experience our client is looking for

• 3+ years of experience in backend development with GoLang.
• Experience working with relational or non-relational databases.
• Experience with RESTful APIs design & implementation.
• Familiarity with CI/CD Tools (such as GitHub Actions, etc.).
• Experience with unit testing and integration testing.
• Fluent in spoken and written English.

Practicalities:

The position is full-time, and our client prefers that you work from their Copenhagen office. However, for the right candidate, they may offer a remote position or even work from their office in Malta, provided you have a valid work permit. Salary is based on qualifications.
